How To Succeed Auditions

Director/Choreographer: Melody Johnson
Music Director: Ashlie Driver
How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying is a satirical musical comedy. It follows an ambitious window washer who follows a handbook to climb the corporate ladder. The show, which won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and multiple Tony Awards, follows Finch's comical rise from the mail room to the executive suite, navigating office politics and romances. This is a dance and vocal heavy show.
Vocal Auditions: Saturday, May 23rd 10am-1pm
We will be casting all roles, no roles have been precast. All the parts are adult parts, so you must be an adult, or able to present as an adult on stage. Please prepare a 1 minute monologue and a 1 minute song in the style of the show for your audition. Make sure to bring your music (without words) for accompaniment, a head shot, and be prepared to list any conflicts you have with the rehearsal schedule. Please arrive early to have time to fill out your audition form, and don't forget to dress to impress!
Dance Auditions: Saturday, May 23rd 1:30pm-4pm
Everyone is called and you will be taught a piece there. Please dress in clothes that you can move in.
Callbacks - Sunday, May 24th 6pm
We will let you know Saturday night which characters you are called back for. We will provide you with cold reads and songs at the callbacks. If you are not called back that does not mean you will not be cast. Likewise, if you are called back that does not guarantee you a spot.
Virtual Auditions: If you are able to attend the in-person auditions please do so, but if you aren't able to be there in-person we will accept a virtual audition.
