Rumors
by Neil Simon
Presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc. www.concordtheatricals.com
Neil Simon’s RUMORS is a fast-paced farce that begins with an elegant dinner party gone hysterically wrong. Four couples arrive expecting a night of sophistication—only to discover the host has shot himself in the ear (not fatally) and his wife is missing. Desperate to cover up the scandal, they spin wilder and wilder stories, turning confusion into chaos as rumors fly faster than champagne corks. Brimming with razor-sharp wit, slapstick mishaps, and Simon’s trademark charm, RUMORS is a laugh-out-loud comedy that proves the truth may be the funniest thing of all.

Mark is absolutely thrilled to perform in his 13th production and first straight play with the Players. His previous roles include Gomez in The Addams Family, Cat in the Hat in Seussical the Musical, Man in the Yellow Suit in Tuck Everlasting, and Plankton in SpongeBob SquarePants. Originally from New York and later a long time Arizona resident where he performed in over 40 plays, Steve has won local acting awards for Crossing DeLancey, The Agony and the Agony, and for Neil Simon's Chapter Two and The Odd Couple (female version). Although Steve has appeared in several episodes of General Hospital and Sunset Beach, his biggest claim to fame is being a winning contestant on the game show Sale Of The Century.

Bob Galley
Ernie Cusack
Rumors is Bob's fourth Neil Simon show. He has previously been in Lost in Yonkers as Eddie, here with The Players, The Odd Couple as Roy, and Proposals as Kenny. Bob was last seen in Stage Right's production of Shakespeare in Love. Previously, he was behind the scenes of the Owen running mics for Anything Goes and assistant directing La Cage Aux Folles. Bob thanks his family for letting him go out for shows. "Thanks Cameron for this opportunity to join this talented, hilarious cast."

Dechaé Williams
Cookie Cusack

"Endless thanks to God, my family, and my friends for all the love and support."

TJ Poulos
Glenn Cooper
TJ is ecstatic to once again share the stage with some of the most talented people he has had the pleasure of working with and missed doing shows with. He is equally ecstatic to be directed by one of those, aforementioned, talented people. He was recently spotted working the crowd as the Narrator for the annual fundraiser, The Rocky Horror Show, at the Owen Theater this past summer. He hopes you all have a night of laughs with this hilarious farce. "Special thanks to my radiant wife Shananda, the SpamFam, and everyone who thinks the Beatles are overrated."

Amy Jackson
Cassie Cooper
Amy is a specialist in portraying gorgeous, slightly unhinged women. Her favorite past productions include Columbia in The Rocky Horror Show, Countess Lily in Anastasia, Waitress and ensemble in Rock of Ages, Lucinda in Into the Woods, and Silly Girl in Beaury and the Beast. Josh Darner
Officer Welch
Joshua has been working with the The Players Theater Company off and on over the years. He has been in productions of Bye Bye Birdie, Holiday Inn, West Side Story, The Producers, and Clue. He is happy to be back and has had an incredible experience with the Rumors cast.

Victoria Burkhardt
Officer Pudney
Although this is her sixth theatrical show, it has been seven years since Victoria has been onstage. She has had the honor to be a director and teaching theater to students of all ages. But she missed the fun of just getting onstage and acting silly with friends. Even though she doesn't say much, her love for theater shines through in her performance. "Thank you to my director for casting me and allowing me to be the 'Wonderstudy' of such an amazing cast!"
