Evann Sommers is thrilled to be playing Rosemary in The Players’ production of How to Succeed in Business! In the past, she’s been involved in Th e Players’ White Christmas and Holiday Inn as a dancer. She has also done many shows with CYT, notably Hadestown (Persephone), Annie Jr. (Miss Hannigan), and the Bird Girl swing in Seussical. She’s excited for you to see the show!

Stephen (Biggley) is husband to Ashlie (Vocal Director), father to Madeline, Travis (Bud), and Elise. Stephen holds a BA in Music from the University of Texas at Austin and a Law Degree from South Texas College of Law. By day, he has been an Assistant District Attorney in Harris County for the past 18 years. Stephen and his family have been heavily involved in the theater community of Conroe for over a decade. He previously appeared on the Owen stage as Judas/ John the Baptist in the 2019 PTC production of Godspell. He has also performed many times at the Crighton theater with CCT, with roles including Fiddler (Tevye), Newsies (Pulitzer), Joseph (Pharaoh), Beauty & Beast (Cogsworth), Hello Dolly, (Horace), Mary Poppins (Mr. Banks) Hunchback (Frollo), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (Caractacus), Seussical (Mr. Mayor), When he is not on stage, Stephen designs and runs the lights. His past PTC keylight designs include Sister Act, Newsies, Th e Spongebob Musical, and Tuck Everlasting. Stephen hopes you succeed in enjoying this timely, anachronistic, satirical, fun, and hilarious show as much as we do.

Travis is excited to be playing the role of Bud Frump for his first official performance with The Players Theater! He is entering his senior year studying vocal performance at Baylor University. His most recent stage appearance was as Bartolo in Le Nozze di Figaro with Opera Bastide in France! Some of his favorite musical theater appearances include Legally Blonde (Emmett), Spongebob (Plankton), and Godspell (John the Baptist/Judas).

Erin Wright has been singing and acting since childhood. She has performed operas and musicals all over the world, including England, China, Germany and Russia. She also has her Master of Music in Vocal Performance and has been teaching voice for over 30 years. Some favorite roles include The Secret Garden (Lily), Guys and Dolls (Sarah Brown), Hello, Dolly (Dolly), The Marriage of Figaro (Fraulein Maria, Eliza Doolittle, Susanna), and The Mikado (Yum Yum), both with The Syracuse Opera. She loves tap dancing, weight training, walking her dog, and performing with The Players! Thanks to everyone in this wonderful show! Toi toi!

Austin is excited to take the stage as Bratt in his second show here with the Players Theatre Company. Most recently he was seen penning the Declaration of Independence as Thomas Jefferson in 1776. With over 25 years of theatrical experience, he has performed on a number of stages across Texas. Some of his favorite roles include Beauty and the Beast (Gaston), Dracula (Dracula), The Scarlet Pimpernel (Chauvelin), Puffs (Wayne Hopkins), and A Midsummer Nights Dream (Oberon). He’d like to thank his parents for taking care of his Goldendoodle babies, Maverick and Cooper, during all of the long rehearsal hours.

David Anderson returns to the Owen, after his Players’ Debut in Seussical (The Grinch), his other Conroe credits include Newsies and Hunchback. David works both side of the lights, having designed sound for dozens of musicals at several theater spaces inside the loop as “Moonlight Audio”.

Mike Palmquist is making his Players Theater debut as two characters!! Mike has been immersed in music since he picked up a trumpet at age seven. For decades he traveled the country playing in or leading elite bands. Later in life he discovered singing in Choir, and around town on assorted karaoke mics. Please welcome Mike to what we hope will be the first of many Players ensembles.

Jonathan Hark is thrilled to be involved in such an exciting (and dance heavy) show such as this production of How To Succeed in Business. He is 18 years old and is currently studying ASL interpretation at Lone Star College in hopes to one day be able to interpret for shows just like this one. Some favorite roles: Hadestown (Hades), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Brother), and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (Grandpa Joe).

Alex is loving his fi rst experience with theater! He is grateful for the opportunity to be on stage in front of a live audience. In his free time, he enjoys artistry such as reading, writing, painting, roleplaying games, line dancing, and the occasional karaoke. Guess it pays being the director’s boyfriend!

Wyatt is so excited to be playing Toynbee and dancing his way through his 3rd production with The Players. He was most recently seen in 1776 as one of our country’s founding fathers. A couple of his most memorable theater moments were when he was cast as Captain Hook in his school’s production of Peter Pan and an ensemble member in Carrie here at Th e Players Theatre Company. Enjoy the show!

Bonnie Atkinson (Miss Jones) is excited to be a part of H2$! Most recently, she portrayed Abigail Adams in 1776: A Musical. Before that she stepped behind the scenes as Stage Manager for Potato Gumbo aft er appearing on stage in Rumors (Claire) and was recently elected to The Players Board of Directors. Outside of theatre, Bonnie serves as the Mission Advancement Coordinator for Angel Reach, a local nonprofit serving homeless youth. She is a proud mother of three and “Amma” to two beautiful grandsons...her most favorite role of all! She is thankful for the opportunity to be part of such a great show!

Emily Anders is thrilled to be in her third Players Theatre production as Miss Krumholtz. She has thoroughly enjoyed singing and dancing with this wonderful and welcoming group of performers. And she’d like to say a special thank you to the A-team and her family. Enjoy the show!

Jimmy Boutte is excited to be making his debut with the Players. Previous credits include Footloose (LSC-Montgomery), Matilda (Moore Vision Entertainment), Fiddler on the Roof (National Youth Theatre), and productions with the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Drama Ministry and Champion Forest. When he’s not performing, Jimmy enjoys spending time with friends, going to the movies, and attending church. He hopes you enjoy the show!

Henry certainly has been busy this past 59th season, with this production being his 4th back-2-back production in a row here with the Players! You may have seen Henry in the recent popular musical 1776; the Nobel Prize nominee play Potato Gumbo; the Rock Opera Jesus Christ Superstar; and earlier this season Fiddler on the Roof. In addition, he’s most excited about his 1st role with The Players Theater, in the holiday classic White Christmas, as well as the 1-act play Heart of the Matter. Henry also has strong ties with Navasota Theater Alliance’s productions including Lend Me a Tenor, Don’t Dress For Dinner, An O’ Henry Christmas, and Lanterns and Legends. Native Houstonians may remember Henry as the TV Host of Channel 26’s “The All-Night Show” which introduced Houston to 24-hour TV programming. Henry gives credit to his formative 4 years of full-time musical stage performances with Six Flags Parks & Disney World, Florida. Henry also was a member of the dance ensemble of 2 major performances of the Greater Houston Civic Ballet, at Jones Hall.

After a twenty(ish) year hiatus, Heather Brown is thrilled to return to the stage and make her debut with The Players Theatre Company. She is deeply grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such an amazing cast and crew. Heather extends her heartfelt thanks to her friends and family for their love, encouragement, and support. A special thank-you also goes to her husband and kids for their unwavering confidence that, one day, she might actually listen to something - literally anything - other than the How to Succeed cast albums on repeat.

This is Sarah’s first show with Players Theatre. Her debut was as a featured dancer in Prince of Egypt at Class Act Productions in the spring. Before this she was part of the Ballroom British Open World Championship team in 2007 and also performed at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. She would like to thank her husband for holding down the fort while she tries to relive her glory days.

This summer has certainly “Been a Long Day!” Dancing and working hard to learn the “Company Way” of this production with The Players has Hannah wishing for a sweet “Coffee Break.” She has fought the good fi ght to survive “The Yo Ho Ho” pirate TV show and loves the girl power featured in “A Secretary Is (definitely!) Not A Toy.” She has had such a fun time with this cast! Hannah is truly grateful and has been blessed by the incredible “Brotherhood of Man” found in this group of executive level men and powerhouse women. Hannah thanks God every day for His steadfast love, wisdom, and placing the greatest support system of friends and family around her.

Melissa Cummins last appeared with The Players in Fiddler on the Roof. Favorite roles include Tartuffe (Cleante), Fabian in Twelfth Night, and the Princess in Murder on the Orient Express for Haven Arts Theater, Chris in Calendar Girls, the harried secretary in Newsies. and a tap-dancing egg in Something Rotten. She also has a three-show run of strange theater deaths for Haven Arts Theater - the most recent after she “exited, pursued by a bear” in The Winter’s Tale. Enjoy the show!
